Hodgson Agrees Anfield Deal

Roy Hodgson will be announced as the new manager of Liverpool later today after he agreed a 2 year deal at Anfield.
The 62 year old Englishman replaces Rafa Benitez in the Anfield hotseat after the Spaniard left the club last month. Hodgson will earn roughly £3m per year according to reports.
The highly respected coach has been in management 34 years, managing 12 top flight European clubs and 3 national sides, most notably Inter Milan and Switzerland respectively. He is though, yet to have won a major trophy in all his years as a manager.
Last season Hodgson lead Fulham to their first European Final in their history just 2 and a half years after taking over at Craven Cottage when the club were facing relegation. Working on a budget he impressed enough to win the LMA Manager of the Year.
His first task as Liverpool manager will be to persuade the likes of Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard to remain at the club.
He is expected to bring with him Fulham assistant manager Mike Kelly, who is also a goalkeeper coach. It is currently unclear the future of several of Rafa Benitez’s backroom staff, it is likely their futures will be determined in the coming week.
Those players not involved in World Cup action return to pre-season training on Friday, with Hodgson set to be unveiled before then, most likely Thursday.
Welcome to Liverpool, Roy..YNWA
